At Zapper Capper Test and Tag, we firstly undertake a visual inspection of all your appliances, to identify any obvious problems.

Portable Appliance Tester

We then test all of your appliances with a Portable Appliance Tester (P.A.T) with pre-set tolerances, which ensures the integrity in our process.

If the appliance passes the electrical testing process, it is then fitted with a durable, non-reusable tag. If it fails any stage of electrical tagging, the ‘Zapper Capper technician’ will consult with the client as to the process needed to repair or dispose of the appliance.

Once we have tested and tagged all of your electrical appliances, you can rest assured that you have done all you can to minimise any electrical shock risks in your workplace.

You will be provided with a computer generated log book and asset register, detailing the appliances tested and the results of the tests undertaken. The asset register also records the make, model and serial number of the appliance during the electrical testing process.

We test Class 1 and Class 2 appliances, leads, powerboards, RCD’s for earth bond, insulation, polarity and current leakage.

The frequency of electrical testing is based on the minimum requirements as per Australian/New Zealand Standards and how hostile the environment is. To help you determine the appropriate frequencies, your technician can also perform an electrical risk assessment.
